Dear SUA Community,

Lelia and I are so excited to share some great news about enrollment with you.  As of today, we will be welcoming 186 new Bulldogs in our Class of 2029!  We are not keeping a waitlist and will not consider additional applicants if any students unenroll prior to the first day of school.

Enrollment day was January 31, and it was such a joy to welcome the new students and their families who decided to submit their enrollment packet in-person.  The students and their families were so enthusiastic about joining our community.  They spoke about the excellent academics, welcoming and caring atmosphere, faith formation, and opportunities with the new schedule as some of the reasons why SUA was an easy choice for them.  It was great fun to watch these students celebrate their decision to be part of our Class of 2029.

Our enrollment is a strong indication that families believe in our excellent academics and programming, and this group of students is well-prepared for our academic rigor.  While this number is higher than our projections, our budget and plans are designed to include variances from year-to-year.  Our enrollment trend projections for the following years will stay within our range of 155-165 students.

As we make plans for the Class of 2029, we are committed to maintaining class sizes and the individualized attention that is a hallmark of our program.  Thank you immensely for all of the support that you give to SUA and for sharing your stories with prospective families about how your daughters have grown here. Special thanks our Senior Director of Admissions Michelle Dellecave and our Admission Coordinator Mandy Maddox for guiding all parts of our admissions process!  All of their personal touches and extra efforts make a huge difference for our prospective families.

This is just a reminder that this Friday is our Winter Formal, definitely our biggest dance of the year as all grades are welcome to attend.  This is a reminder that classes on Friday start at 8 am, and there is an early dismissal at 2 pm so that students have a little additional time to prepare for the event.

Recently, we shared the updated UNIFORM GUIDELINES for 2025-2026, returning to the pre-COVID uniform standards. Some students reached out with thoughtfully-prepared suggestions and ideas and requested reconsideration for some of the approved optional Monday-Thursday items. We listened, and based on student suggestions, have made a few modifications to the Uniform Guidelines for next school year. Please see the article from the DawgHouse later in this bulletin for details about the revised guidelines and a special Pre Sale when students in the classes of ’26, ’27, ’28 can purchase Optional Approved Uniform item(s) for Monday-Thursday at a DISCOUNTED PRICE.

Go Bulldogs!
Kathy
