Dear SUA Parents/Guardians,
By the time that you receive this Parent Bulletin, our students will have finished their first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year. The first day is always one filled with excitement, anticipation, and maybe a few nerves. It is wonderful to have the students back on campus with all of the energy, laughter, and fun that they bring.
The schedule for the first day of school included all seven bells - a unique format designed so that students could meet with all of their teachers and classmates on the first day of school. We purposefully planned no other class meetings or assemblies to emphasize the importance of building these classroom communities.
Today your daughters may have had the opportunity to meet a few of our new faculty and staff. A key phrase in our school’s mission statement is that we are a “vibrant educational community,” and this strong group of new teachers and staff adds to that vibrancy with their fresh ideas, years of experience, and passion for working with young people. Our new-hire group includes two alumnae and three people who are at SUA after moving from different states. This slide deck introduces our new employees and helps to put faces to names.
I feel so fortunate each year that the Feast of the Assumption brings us together for an all-school Mass early in the first days of school. Celebrating the love of God through the gift of the Eucharist grounds us in the love that we are called to share with each other daily and in our sisterhood at SUA. Following Mass on Friday, Mrs. Kramer will introduce the theme for the year: Leader: Own the Mission, Lead with Heart and also bless the students.
This Week at SUA: Reminders and tips to help your Bulldog in the week ahead
Lelia and I are so grateful that you entrusted your daughter’s education to SUA. We look forward to partnering with you this year so that it is a great one for her.
Go Bulldogs!
