Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dear SUA Community,

Lelia and I hope you will be able to join us for our Meet and Greet on Thursday, September 11, 6:00-7:30 pm.  This evening is designed to give you the opportunity to experience your daughter’s schedule, meet her teachers, and connect with other parents and members of our school community.

We will begin with a special blessing for parents and guardians in the Chapel.  This part of the evening is very important to us.  At the beginning of each year we take time to bless our students and faculty and staff.  This year, we also want to extend our prayers and blessing to parents and guardians, who are essential partners in your daughter’s faith formation and education.  Together, we ask for God’s grace to guide, strengthen, and unite us in our shared mission.

The blessing in the Chapel will be followed by classroom visits where you can meet teachers and learn more about your daughter’s courses.  Our teachers are preparing to share information about their curricula, the main learning outcomes, and ideas about the best ways to be successful in each class.  Please remember that this evening is not intended for individual conferences; if you need to discuss specific concerns, I encourage you to schedule a separate appointment with your daughter’s teacher so those conversations can happen with the care and attention they deserve.

While you are on campus, I also invite you to stop by Chapel Hall to meet members of our leadership team and visit the Student Commons for information on parent resources, including our new schedule, minimester travel, the Chaperone App, Safe Arrival attendance app, student clubs and organizations, and more.  The Parent Club will also be the Student Commons, offering cookies, water, and information about how to get involved.

Here is the schedule for the evening:

  • 6:00–6:15 pm | Blessing in the Chapel
  • 6:20–7:35 pm | Meet and Greet in Classrooms (7 short bell rotations to follow your daughter’s schedule).  Your daughter will prepare an electronic version of her schedule for you to follow.  Please consider saving it to your phone for reference throughout the evening.
  • 7:40–8:10 pm | Minimester Travel Information Session in the Theater
Required for parents/guardians of students traveling out of town in December 2025 or May 2026)

We know that schedules are very busy this time of year, so we sincerely appreciate the time that you set aside to join us for an evening of prayer and community.

Go Bulldogs!
