It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving break is just a week away. Much has happened over the past several weeks, including a wide array of admissions activities. Many of our activities have had a different look and feel, but we continue to hear very positive feedback from our prospective students and families about the impact that these events are having on their interest in SUA. I would be remiss if I did not express a heartfelt appreciation for all of the work that Jen Gold, Krista Rueve, and Katie Reilly did to ensure a wonderful Open House experience. SUA is blessed to have such a terrific Parents' Board and their commitment to spreading the good news about SUA does not go unnoticed.
Additionally, thank you to the entire SUA community for taking the time to complete our quarter 3 schedule survey. All students, parents, faculty, and staff have been invited to weigh-in on safety, well-being, and instructional preferences. Our COVID-19 Crisis Team has been reviewing the data and will be prepared to announce our schedule by Thanksgiving.
We are also pleased to share that the Theatre Department is in the final stages of production of Together we Raise our Voices. The show, Together we Raise our Voices: A Performing Arts Review Highlighting Women in the Arts, will be a digital compilation of a combination of types of art featuring female characters, authors, and creators. Whether through song, word, dance, or art the cast and crew of “Together We Raise Our Voices” will explore all aspects of the strength of women. Using quotes from impactful women like: Malala Yousafzai, Jane Austen, Maya Angelou, and more for inspiration; this cabaret-style performance will utilize the talents of the women of Saint Ursula to highlight women in the arts featuring popular and unique pieces of musical theatre, celebrating important historical women and more. We anticipate the show release the week of November 22.
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, there will not be a parent bulletin next week. The next parent bulletin will be Wednesday, December 2.
Lelia and I wish you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving. We are thankful for all of the support you give Saint Ursula Academy.
