Dear SUA Community,
Lelia said it was the worst weather in all of her years as President of Saint Ursula Academy. The cold may have made this Sunday’s Open House a challenge, but our Ambassadors were as warm and welcoming as ever. Many thanks to all of the students and parents who took time out of their weekend to share so many special features about SUA with our prospective families.
It is always heartwarming to see our younger students, some less than three months into their SUA experience, confidently leading families around campus. It is clear they have found a home here. It is equally touching, and a bit bittersweet, to see our seniors share reflections from four years that are quickly coming to a close.
Kudos to our amazing Admissions team - Michelle Dellecave, Mandy Maddox, and Jill Cahill - for their hard work and leadership. Despite the unfavorable weather, we welcomed even more prospective students and families than last year!
Moments like Open House remind us of the vibrant and supportive community we have at SUA. That same spirit of sisterhood and encouragement will help our students finish the semester strong. As hard as it is to believe, we are already in the final two weeks of the first semester. One of the many benefits of our new schedule is that exams take place before Thanksgiving, allowing students to complete important assessments and projects before the busy holiday season begins.
Please note that exams start on Friday, November 21, and continue on Monday, November 24, and Tuesday, November 25. Below is the exam day schedule. Lunch will be served on Friday, November 21, for students staying for the afternoon exam. No lunch will be served on Monday or Tuesday, as exams conclude at 12:30 p.m. each day. On all three exam days, students only need to be on campus for their scheduled exam bells.
The December Minimesters are right around the corner, and we are so excited! On Monday, November 17, we will share a video with students, and you, providing additional details about these unique learning experiences. We cannot wait to see the learning that will come from this exciting time at Saint Ursula Academy.
Go Bulldogs!
