This past December, students submitted their minimester course preferences for the 2026–2027 school year. As part of that process, students were asked to review the Minimester Guidebook and indicate their top five choices for both the December and May minimesters.

Since that time, we have carefully worked to place students into courses based on their preferences and course availability. Placement decisions were made using the following criteria:

• Grade-level priority was given first to rising seniors, followed by juniors and then sophomores.
• Student preference was honored by placing students into their highest-ranked available course.
• Courses that were unavailable were either not offered due to low enrollment or had reached full capacity.
• When a student’s first-choice course was unavailable, placement was made in the next highest available preference.

We are pleased to share that 100% of students were placed into one of the courses they selected on their minimester preference form.

Please note that all minimester placements are final. Schedule changes will be made only in the event of an error (for example, if a student was placed in a course that did not appear on her preference form). If a student believes an error has occurred, she should discuss this with her counselor during her schedule advising session, which will take place over the next several weeks.
