Dear Saint Ursula Academy Parents and Guardians,
Hi! It is a pleasure to connect with you here. I am so grateful to be part of the Saint Ursula Academy community! Each week I will share some news or thoughts about what is happening at SUA. I will always attempt to keep my letter on the short side as I know that you have a lot of information to process, especially at this time of year. Please prioritize reading the newsletter so that you are aware of important school information.
Today it seems appropriate to introduce myself. While my qualifications and experiences have been previously shared, I want to let you know a little more about me as a person. My most valued “training” to be a principal has been to be a parent. I am the proud mom of two sons, both relatively recent high school graduates and young adults. I know firsthand the joys, frustrations, highs and lows of parenting teens. As a school leader, I am constantly aware of the fact that the young people in our school are children, the pride and joy of parents who only want the best for them and their development. With each interaction, I think about the type of love and care that I would want for my own children in school and strive to provide that. I, along with the entire SUA team, will always be guided by acting in the best interest of our students. I know we will not go wrong if we do so! We appreciate the trust that you place in us and look forward to partnering with you.
It is hard to believe, but it will be the first day of school by the time you receive the next Parent Bulletin. There is great excitement around here (think: Christmas morning as a young kid excited!) in anticipation of the students returning to campus. We just cannot wait to welcome our girls and to start putting into action all of the plans that have been made on their behalf. We are ready, and I already know it will be an outstanding year. Thanks for all that you are doing on your end to help your daughter prepare for the 23-24 school year.
