Dear SUA Community,
We have great news to share with you: as of this week, we surpassed more than 400 students scheduled to shadow at Saint Ursula Academy! This is such an exciting milestone to reach in October because our goal was to have that many visits by the end of the shadow season in December. There is great interest in our school, and that interest is strong evidence of the academic excellence and quality experiences that our students have. We do many things well at SUA, but we positively excel at helping students learn and grow to be confident, courageous, faith-filled women ready to make an impact in the world.
Now is the perfect time to thank Senior Director of Admissions Michelle Dellecave and Admissions Coordinator Mandy Maddox for all of their hard work in making prospective students and families feel so welcome at SUA. From summer camps to shadow visits to many engaging admissions events throughout the year, they help girls and their families understand the value of an SUA education and feel at home here. It is remarkable how many students and families comment that Michelle and Mandy’s enthusiasm for the school and special attention made a big difference in their decision making.
You can help us to continue this positive momentum. Open House is this Sunday, October 27, 1-4 pm, so please spread the word. More than anything, parents/guardians of prospective students appreciate hearing about your daughter’s positive experiences and the growth that you have noticed in her through the opportunities at SUA. Thank you for posting the yard signs and being great ambassadors for our school in your communities.
There are a few schedule variations to be aware of this week:
Our teachers have the day dedicated to professional development. They are working hard on developing their minimester courses, and we can’t wait to share these exciting opportunities with you at our next meeting about the new schedule for parents/guardians on Monday, November 11, 7 pm. Information about how to connect to this virtual meeting will be in upcoming Parent Bulletins.
On Monday of this week our school gathered to celebrate Mass for the Feast of Saint Ursula. We pray that the strength of Saint Ursula and her commitment to her companions continues to inspire our work and our SUA sisterhood.
Go Bulldogs!
