...whoa, livin' on a prayer!
Like Advent and our school year as a whole, we're halfway there! Some of us may feel like we really are living on a prayer right now! Times are tough and we're all feeling the stress! If you're feeling stressed now, can you imagine how stressed Mary and Joseph were trying to find a safe house, room, or space to give birth to Jesus?
Many modern-day people around the world experience the struggle to find lodging for many reasons; COVID-19 displacement, immigration around the world, health struggles, and many other reasons. The Hispanic and Spanish cultures commemorate Mary and Joseph’s difficult journey through a Posada which means dwelling or lodging. People around the world practice Las Posadas this time of year. As part of your Advent preparation, you can read more about Posadas. You can also visit a live virtual Posada celebration online.
As we move through the third week of Advent, we invite you to check out the The Catholic Telegraph's Ultimate Guide to Advent. This has some really great ideas for all members of your family!
We also want to share that the Chapel will be open between exams (10:30am-11:15am) on Thursday and Friday in case your daughter would like to stop in! Please remind her make a visit for a moment of peace and quiet between the exams!
