OHSAA Fall Tournaments
The Golf Dawgs shot their lowest 18-hole team score of the season last week at the Sectional Meet, placing 2nd and advancing to this week's District Meet. Congratulations to Grace York '21, Gretchen Fesenmeier '22, Anna Frey '22, Zoe Luebbers '23, Gracey Kelly '24, and Coach Sara Peterson '98. Results from yesterday's District Meet can be found on the Athletics Overview page.
The Tennis Dawgs were very competitive at last week's Sectional Tournament, with the three Bulldog singles players finishing in 1st, 2nd, and 4th places and all advancing to this week's District Tournament. Good luck to Elizabeth Pendergast '21, Kathleen Davin '23, Emily Jennewein '24, and Coach Jason Woods as they compete this Thursday at the ATP Linder Family Tennis Center.
The Running Dawgs will wait a week for their District Meet; but in the meantime, all of the runners will compete this Saturday at the GGCL Championship meet at Christ Church (Mason). Good luck to the over 80 Bulldogs who will be racing for the GGCL crown this Saturday and to Coach Dan Bird as he leads the pack!
The tournament brackets are set for the upcoming District tournament games for our field hockey, soccer, and volleyball teams. Soccer will host Princeton at SUA Stadium on Tuesday, 10/20. Field hockey will play at Indian Hill in the first round of the district tournament on Thursday, 10/22. Volleyball received a bye in the first round and will begin its tournament run in Round 2 of the District Tournament on Saturday, 10/24 at 1 pm at Lakota West High School. Although OHSAA continues to limit spectators to these contests, you can follow the Dawgs' trip in the postseason on the Athletics Overview page.
Students who are interested in trying out for one of our winter teams in basketball, bowling, diving, or swimming need to register on FinalForms to receive information about conditioning, practices, and tryouts. This must be done using the parent's FinalForms login. Registering for a winter sport simply indicates to the Athletic Department and coaches that the student is interested in receiving information about winter sports tryouts. Registering on FinalForms does not obligate the student to participate in tryouts, nor guarantees a roster spot.
The Program Information documents have been updated on the Winter Sports page for all of the winter sports. The Program Information contains information about tryouts, practices, and team expectations.
All students who try out for a winter sport must have a valid OHSAA Preparticipation Physical form on file with the Athletic Department. This form is printed from the parent's FinalForms account and must be signed by the student's physician.
