Our Patron Saint, Angela Merici

Saint Angela Merici believed we should Live for God in all that we do. She taught her companions that Christ was the center of an Ursuline’s heart. Ursulines ministered to their families, schools, and broader community through pouring Christ’s love and joy out to others. Saint Ursula Academy is located in East Walnut Hills to specifically minister to the community. Today, Saint Ursula students, faculty, staff, and Ursuline Companions continue to minister to the East Walnut Hills community.

Saint Ursula Academy students experience the excitement of living our Catholic faith in the Ursuline tradition, spreading Christ’s love and joy, and taking their faith with them to college and beyond while always having Christ at the center of their heart.

• Plans and designs our Ministry events 
• Writes and reads morning and end of school day prayers

• Class Communion Services in our beautiful chapel: Our students enjoy celebrating their faith with one another. They choose the theme, readings, and music. They lead the communion service and write/read the reflection on the Gospel. They feel inspired by the Word of God and one another. 
• All School Masses in our Gym: Our students actively plan and participate in the Mass. 
• Faithful, Friends, and Food: Our students convene together in the chapel, share the Word of God, enjoy spiritual music, and converse with one another followed by donuts in the front circle or Innovation Center
• Rosary: our students, faculty, staff, and alumnae pray the rosary together in our chapel 
• Adoration: The blessed sacrament is exposed with instrumental music playing. Students, faculty, staff, and alumnae spend time with Jesus.
