Community Service Opportunities this Fall
During zero bells in September, your daughters will attend an assembly outlining the various ways she can sign up for service projects/events this school year. We have creative opportunities that will allow students to contribute and give back to our larger community during this unique time. We will partner with local non-profits as well as schools to help with neighborhood clean-ups, drive-through food pantries, and virtual tutoring. More specific information to come! We will need parent help this year more than ever, so please make sure to look at permission forms that come home for the parent volunteer sign-up. Thanks in advance.
Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice will be held VIRTUALLY from October 19-26: We are currently recruiting students interested in attending the annual Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ). Normally this event is held in Washington D.C., but this year it will be virtual. However, the group who participates locally will meet in person in Cincinnati regularly. IFTJ is an opportunity for students to be empowered, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked. Attendees will virtually interact with students from Catholic institutions from all over the United States while hearing an amazing group of speakers on issues of social justice and advocacy. They will be coached in the art of presenting an "ask" to elected representatives, and then conclude the conference by heading to Cincinnati based offices to meet with their members of Congress to present their own "asks" on issues of justice. Students can use this LINK if interested and more details will be e-mailed to them. More information about this event via this link: https://ignatiansolidarity.net/iftj/
