This week we celebrated National School Counseling Week! The SUA Counseling Department loves what we do and we do what we love. Thanks for helping make Saint Ursula Academy a great place to be a counselor!
Next week during zero bells, counselors will be talking with the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes about the schedule/academic advising process and where to find information to help them decide what to take! We will follow these large group meetings with individual counseling sessions for each student which will take place in March. After the students indicate which courses they would like to take, parents will be asked to look at their selections and sign documentation that you have seen their requests! Information about how to complete that approval process will be posted for parents in the coming weeks.
On Tuesday, February 9, the senior class will join the counseling department and several members of the SUA Class of 2020 as they return virtually to talk about their college experiences and answer any questions the seniors have about the adjustment to college!
Mark your calendars for the last event in our winter Parent Speaker Series! On Thursday, February 25 at 6:30, Todd Provenzano, Managing Director of Clinical Service and Partnership at St. Aloysius, will join us in a virtual presentation about helping our children cope with anxiety and stress using the Sanctuary Model.
