Parents of Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: If you haven’t already, mark your calendars for October 8, 2025! We will host our annual College Night for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders (and their families) in the Keller Center from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. ES Families will meet at 5:30pm in the Theater immediately prior for their own focused programming. Our agenda includes an overview of the college counseling process at SUA and several "choose your own adventure" breakouts so you can learn about the topics that best fit your daughter's needs. Dr. Lisa Damour will virtually visit with all SUA students on October 3 for a discussion about Courageous Conversations: What it Means to be Part of a Community! This incredible opportunity for our students will be paired with professional development for faculty and staff earlier that morning and an evening Speaker Series event with Dr. Damour for parents the previous night.

On October 6, all Sophomores will attend the SOS Signs of Suicide Program. More information about the program can be found on the form you signed in Final Forms this summer or by reading this letter. Promoting positive mental health awareness and safety is a high priority topic for the SUA school counseling department, SUA’s Mental Health (student) Alliance, administration, faculty, and staff. If you have any questions about this program, please contact your daughter’s counselor.
