SAVE THE DATE! College Planning Night for 9th-11th Grade Families will be held on October 3 at 6pm-8pm in the Keller Center! Details to follow.

College Fair Info for all parents: A US Service Academy Fair is being hosted by Congressman Greg Landsman on September 7 from 11am-2pm at the Cincinnati Museum Center. If your daughter is considering any of the service academics, it is highly recommended you attend to learn about the nomination and application processes.

The annual NACAC National College Fair Cincinnati will be held on September 29 from 1-4pm at the NKY Convention Center.  SUA Counseling partners with St. Xavier College Counseling to host a Cincinnati Spring College Fair each spring for our students. This year we are holding this event at St. X on Monday, March 3. SUA students and families are welcome to attend any and all events.

SUA Counseling coordinates several programs each school year to help all of our students be their best!

  • BARC (Bulldog Academic Resource Center)
BARC began this week! BARC is a drop-in classroom where students can receive support through peer tutors (NHS upperclasswomen). Any student who wishes to connect to a tutor, either one-on-one or though BARC, is welcome to contact her counselor or just stop in!
  • Freshman Tech Readiness
On August 8th, we hosted a special orientation for our freshmen to help them get technology-ready for their time at SUA. The sessions covered essential skills such as accessing and effectively using Google Suite, Schoology, PowerSchool, and organizing OneNote. We also addressed common issues like troubleshooting blank document submissions and proper use of PDF Annotator, as well as scanning and printing documents. These skills will continue to be reinforced in Freshman Seminar.
  • Brave 1s
Brave 1s are freshmen who join the SUA community without any classmates from their previous schools. Their first event at school was held this week! We host monthly sessions to help these students build connections with each other, guided by our sophomore Brave 1s leaders.

If you have any questions about these programs or have any questions, please feel free to contact Jenna Wilker, our Student Success Counselor (jwilker@saintursula.org) or your daughter’s counselor!

This week's Bulldog Blast is here!
