Merry Christmas! This is a reminder that the counseling office is closed over Christmas break and counselors do not hold office hours or respond to emails until we return on January 4, 2024! 

Parents of Juniors:

• We emailed instructions to all Juniors last week on how to sign up for their Junior College Family Planning Meeting. Meetings will take place January-March 2024. We also emailed information to parents about the meeting requirements and how their junior signs up! At least one parent/guardian is required to attend the meeting.

• If you are planning to sign your student up for a ACT this spring, they have sent us a $5 off coupon that you may use when you are paying. It can be found here.

Parents of Seniors: 

• FAFSA should launch by December 31, 2023. Please complete FAFSA as soon as you are able after this date, particularly for any college who requires its completion in order to be eligible for scholarship dollars. Many schools also have their own financial aid determination process, which may or may not include the CSS Profile. 
• Is your daughter a cross country or track runner? Please encourage her to apply to the local Flying Pig Scholarship! Looking for more scholarship opportunities? Be sure to check the spreadsheet that we have available for students and update regularly.
• All supporting documents/transcripts have been sent for seniors who have indicated they are applying to schools with regular decision early January deadlines. Midyear transcripts will be sent to all the schools to which your senior applied in mid-January once they are finalized. Students do not need to ask us to send midyear transcripts, as we will do so automatically, but if a seniors does not want their midyear transcript sent to a certain school, she can let us know!
