Parents of Seniors: In general, the most scholarship dollars available to a student come directly from a college or university, either as part of the acceptance package, or sometimes as a result of a separate scholarship application from the school itself. Students are also welcome to apply to outside scholarships, which when awarded, can be applied toward tuition at a student’s college of choice. The majority of these outside scholarships become available in the winter or spring of a student’s senior year. We keep a spreadsheet of outside scholarship application opportunities available to our students and update it regularly as we receive relevant information. This spreadsheet is always available to students on their Scoir accounts! Also - just a reminder to fill out the FAFSA (opens December) and any other required financial aid documents for each and every school to which your daughter is applying!
