We are hosting an HBCU Showcase for any interested student on Tuesday, May 6 at lunch! Please encourage your daughter to attend if she may be thinking about attending an Historically Black College/University. SUA Alums attending Spelman, Tennessee State, and Tuskegee will be there!

Parents of Juniors:

• Last week during Wednesday Programming, the Junior class met with counselors to create their Common App accounts and review the website to ensure all students are prepared and ready for the completion of college applications. The Common App will "flip over" for the Class of 2026 on August 1. We encouraged the juniors to take a look and become familiar with this application but not to worry about completing anything before August 1 when it refreshes.
• We will ensure the bulk of the Common App is completed during their Application Kickoff (required!) at SUA on August 12 from 12-4pm.
• Juniors were also sent information about how to ask for their letters of recommendation from teachers on Monday. They need a printed copy of their resume to give to any teacher they ask!
