Parents of Juniors: It's time to think about College Essays! All juniors are invited to the Keller Student Center on Wednesday, June 2 for more brainstorming, working on outlines, and starting a rough draft of their personal statement with the Counseling Department. This workshop is free to all students and will complement Ms. Adkin's essay workshop for students (she reviews/reads and provides peer-edit opportunities) who would like to attend both. Students should REGISTER HERE to join us from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on June 2. We'll have snacks and door prizes, too!
Mark your calendars for Friday, August 6! We'll kick off the senior year with a College Application Fest from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm in Keller. All juniors should block their calendars and plan to come to SUA on August 6 to begin their Common App, fine-tune their essays, get great feedback from many college and university reps, and get all their questions answered!
College Declaration Day is here! All Seniors will join to celebrate their new journeys and plans on Tuesday, May 4 during their lunch break. We have some fun activities and a surprise treat planned for all senior students! Seniors should plan to wear a shirt representing their college that day.
FINAL WEEK: All parents of 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students must log onto Final Forms (2021-22 form set) to indicate they have seen their student's schedule requests and approve. Schedule requests must be finalized by April 30 in order to build the schedule for next year. SUA will consider your daughter's schedule approved by you if we do not hear from you by April 30. Please direct any questions to your daughter's counselor.
AP Testing begins next week! A good night's sleep and a healthful breakfast are the best ways to prepare!
