In July 2023, the State of Ohio approved a new EdChoice Expansion program that will allow ALL Ohio residents to qualify for a scholarship award based on the Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of a family’s household. This program is not tied to your resident school district. Scholarships range from $8,407 down to $950, based on income level. Please refer to this chart for more information .
As a result of these changes, Saint Ursula Academy is making the following adjustments to the financial aid process for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Starting in 2024-2025, any Ohio family that would like to apply for financial aid from Saint Ursula Academy is required to apply for the Ohio EdChoice Expansion Scholarship. Please refer to this website for further instructions about the application process. Please note that the State of Ohio will release the application for the 2024-2025 school year in January or February of 2024.
- Given the significant changes to the State of Ohio scholarship program, Saint Ursula Academy will require all families to re-apply for financial aid for the 2024-2025 academic year. The application deadline is November 20, 2023 and applications will be submitted through the student’s FACTS account. You will need your Form 1040, W-2’s and related tax schedules filed with the IRS for the 2022 tax year. The application is currently available.
- If you have not applied for the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship for the 2023-2024 school year, please refer to the Saint Ursula Academy website for more information. The deadline for full awards for the 2023-2024 school year is October 14, 2023. Applications after that date will be prorated. As stated in your financial aid award letter, Saint Ursula Academy will reassess your financial aid award upon receipt of the official award notification from the State of Ohio. Your Saint Ursula Academy financial aid will be adjusted by 50% of the State of Ohio EdChoice Scholarship amount.
