Hello SUA Families,

SUA is experiencing a significant increase in a variety of illnesses on campus. This is consistent with Ohio's current influenza activity, which is rated as "very high" by the Ohio Department of Health. To decrease the spread of illness at SUA, we are requesting the following actions on the part of the entire SUA community:

• WASH YOUR HANDS for 20 seconds minimum frequently throughout the day, immediately before and after eating, blowing your nose or touching your face.
• Anyone with a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher MUST REMAIN AT HOME and may not return until they have been fever-free for 24 hours.
• Anyone with diarrhea or vomiting MUST REMAIN AT HOME for a minimum of 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
• If you are attending school but are experiencing mild upper respiratory symptoms such as nasal congestion, sore throat, coughing or sneezing, YOU MUST WEAR A MASK for the duration of the school day. 

For the health of our school community, we will continue to monitor illness numbers and continue with the above recommendations until the numbers begin to decline. Please be on the lookout for the illness surveys over the next couple of weeks.  If your daughter is ill, please complete the brief two-question survey to help us track the illnesses impacting our school community.
