March 23 Testing Day Information

Date: March 2, 2021
Reading Time: 2 minutes

To all guardians and/or parents of current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors:

This information is concerning the testing your daughters will complete on March 23, 2021.

Freshmen:

Freshmen will take the IOWA test on March 23.  Your daughter will receive more information in the next few weeks about testing day logistics.  The test will start promptly at 8 a.m.

Sophomores:

In the fall of 2020, current sophomores were given the opportunity to take the IOWA tests.  Although not required, passing the IOWA test benchmarks can count as one Ohio graduation requirement in lieu of reaching the ACT benchmarks.  We will be offering the full battery of IOWA tests again this spring on March 23.  Sophomores will either take the PreACT or the IOWA on March 23.

  • Students who have taken and passed the IOWA tests should take the PreACT.
  • Students who have not taken the IOWA tests, but anticipate success on the ACT, should take the PreACT.
  • Students who have not taken the IOWA test, who do not wish to gain the graduation requirement through the ACT, should take the IOWA test.

Ohio Department of Education - ACT Graduation Benchmarks

Please indicate the choice for your daughter in this form by Monday, March 15 or your daughter will automatically be signed up for the PreACT.

Juniors:

Juniors will take the ACT on March 23.  Your daughter will receive more information in the next few weeks about testing day logistics.  The test will start promptly at 8 a.m.

Please let Mr. Moran (cmoran@saintursula.org) know if you have any questions.
