The 2020-2021 school year has officially started.  Our modified plan to gradually welcome the girls back to campus is working out very effectively.  Lelia and I believe that the slow return enabled our adult community, along with the help of junior and senior leaders, to inform and support the freshmen and sophomores as they live with SUA COVID-19 plans and expectations.  We are looking forward to seeing the juniors and seniors on Thursday and Friday.

In addition to the arrival of the upperclasswomen to campus on Thursday and Friday, we will also be welcoming Angelo, our SUA therapy dog.  In the fall of 2019, Saint Ursula started the work with Ultimate Canine to bring a certified therapy dog to campus.  Angelo will spend most of his time comforting and assisting students in Counseling and Educational Services. When Angelo moves around campus, he will be handled by one of the certified handlers and always on a leash. We are excited for his arrival as we are confident that he will be a tremendous resource to our community as we continue to live with COVID-19.

Finally, next week we will send out more information about our modified Meet the Teacher Night and a COVID-19 family survey.
