As of today, Wednesday, August 12, we have had 95% of our faculty and staff, 95% of our seniors, juniors, and sophomores, and 100% of our freshmen on campus. The energy that has come from the increased number of community members on campus has been extremely rejuvenating. Lelia and I are getting very excited about the first day of school.
During our time in conversation with both adults and students, it has become clear that we have students, faculty, staff, and parents who are in different places regarding their level of comfort with COVID-19. As a united community, we ask that you adhere to our social mitigation practices of wearing a mask, social distancing, and washing your hands frequently while on the SUA campus.
Finally, we want to continue to keep our lines of communication open and the messaging clear and transparent. In an effort to provide additional information about the restarting of school, Lelia and I will be recording a virtual Welcome Back Virtual Presentation that will be shared with you this Thursday, August 13 at 7:00pm. We will incorporate answers to questions submitted by you about SUA's COVID-19 safety plans and protocols. These questions and this information will be a supplement to the plans outlined in the Reset and Restart Guidebook. Please let Ms. Patrice Eby know if you do not receive Thursday evening's email.
