Thanks to the Sophomore class and to the National Honor Society members for doing their part in supporting the HOPE Emergency Program over Christmas, which was able to provide Christmas gifts for 640 children! Here are two of our junior class leaders volunteering to be personal shoppers at HOPE, a social service agency run by the Ursuline nuns in Brown County, Ohio.
Wednesday Programming & Merici Time:
On Jan 15th, for their Wednesday Programming day with Counseling, students filled out a Connectedness survey to find out how connected they feel here at SUA. Wednesday programing includes different non-academic areas lead by the Counseling department, Social Equity & Inclusion Department, necessary Class Meetings, and Merici Time.
This week, students will be in their Merici Time groups, a time when students come together, connect, and learn more about one another through different team building activities, or simply playing games to connect and have a good time. Merici Time is to help build our student’s sisterhood and put time into growing and Becoming an Academy Alum.
Community and feeling connected is very important to us at Saint Ursula Academy. We have posted a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Response Form available on the student intranet for any student ever feel the need to share a recognition or celebration, or to share a concern or suggestion to help us continue our growth as a school community. Both feedback options are important so we know how to pivot and how to keep moving forward.
