SENIORS: Global Education
During last week’s Faith In Action day, seniors did a self-reflection alongside gap year students from Israel and exchange students from Pakistan, Italy, Germany, and Austria. Students read their reflections aloud and our guests shared stories from their homelands, then engaged in cultural learning in the afternoon at the Wise Temple, Cincinnati Zen Center, the Freedom Center, Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Holocaust and Humanity Center.
JUNIORS: Commandments for Women & Soul Palette
On March 13th, Juniors were led by Carol Tonge Mack in Commandments for Women, asking students to think about their worth, their non-negotiables (converted to their 10 Commandments), and tips on how to be leaders by loving and appreciating themselves first, and then finding ways to help and serve others by listening first with a constant reminder of “I am enough.”
Soul Palette came and led the second half of the day, creating canvases for students to work on together. The final products below demonstrate how well each group worked together, as they each added their personal touch to one masterpiece.
Ten Saint Ursula Students attended the Commission on the Status of Women in New York City at the United Nations. This is the largest conference of women in the world. It was a great experience and focused on equity across education, access, and leadership for women.
