DEI: Get ready for Hispanic Heritage Month: SEPT 15 - OCT 15

  • Getting engaged by Creando Communidad
  • Hispanic Heritage Month will rotate through four focus areas per grade level for each student to experience something different each year in their Merici Time.
  1. Freshmen: Food/Recipes/Local restaurants to check out.
  2. Sophomores: Dance/Regalia/Celebrations.
  3. Juniors: Traditions/History/Spiritual Beliefs.
  4. Seniors: Music/Poetry/Stories.
  • Across SUA: Hispanic Heritage Month will be acknowledged and celebrated in different areas across the campus through TV Announcements, banners, books and decorations in the East Foyer and in Keller.
  • Bulldog Boost: In addition to beverages, we’ll also have some treats for sale, supporting Hispanic Heritage, and other upcoming Heritage Months, as a way to acknowledge, celebrate, and share cultural experiences with everyone at SUA throughout the year.
  • HAC (Hands Across Campus)/HALO: This student organization is preparing and planning some activities for students to participate in, should they choose, during 5th bell or lunch, and possibly after school. They’re looking forward to finding ways to collaborate with other student clubs, which is wonderful! Watch for more details.

If you would ever like to help out with any Heritage Month celebration with food, decorations, or would be able to be a guest speaker for our students, please email pmallory@saintursula.org
