We often see our performance-based classes highlighted within our music department, such as SUAVE and Guitar Ensemble, but did you know that you can learn a new instrument during your time at SUA? We have more than 80 students in our Beginning through Advanced Piano and Guitar classes each year! These are 1-term classes where students learn the basics of music theory and then put that into practice as they learn proper technique on the piano or guitar. Each class ends with a final recital for their parents where they get to play a song of their choice that they've learned throughout the term. These are fabulous classes for students who want to explore their creativity in a new way. All students are welcome and no experience is needed. Next year we will also be offering an Introduction to Orchestra class where students can also learn how to play any instrument of their choosing.
