In the science classrooms at SUA, students are able to find many opportunities to explore and deepen their ability as thinkers, leaders, nurturers and prophets. In the Honors Biotechnology class, students are using a unique blend of scientific knowledge and critical thinking skills that are essential for becoming both thoughtful innovators and influential leaders. We have begun our look into how so many different disciplines are intertwined in the biotechnology field. Within this, how do we need to look at the ethical side of the advancement of biotechnology. In class, students have started to strengthen these skills during our microbiology unit. As they tackle real-world challenges and engage in research, they develop the strategic mindset needed to drive advancements and lead with foresight and responsibility in the ever-evolving landscape of biotechnology.
